Neurofeedback Therapy (NFT)

Service Description

This noninvasive treatment has been practiced for decades, and its clinical benefit for individuals with mental health issues has been clearly demonstrated in more than 2,000 peer-reviewed research studies. NFB is a self-regulation technique used to acquire conscious control over the electrical activity of brainwaves, also known as electroencephalography (EEG), which is normally self-regulated without conscious awareness. NFT retrains aberrant neural activity in brainwave frequency, as measured by EEG, in traumatized individuals and ADHD youngsters. NFT is associated with functional enhancements in memory, cognition, sleep, and mood, as well as executive function, sustained attention, performance enhancement, and working memory. Research has shown that NFT is just as effective as stimulant medication, but with less side effects. NFT is concerned with brain learning and the formation of good and healthy neural connections.
